Adding Google Analytics to your Fanpage

In this article we will cover step by step instructions on how to add Google Analytics to your Fanpage. Using Google Analytics with your fanpages will allow you to see how visitors actually interact with your site.  Google Analytic's tools give you the ability analyze your audience, traffic and  gather other useful data. 

How to add Google Analytics 

Step 1: First, you'll need to setup an account with Google Analytics. 

If you already have a Goggle account simply sign in and sign up with Google Analytics.

Step 2: Once you are logged in you will be directed to the "Create a new account" page where you will fill out the pertinent information.

Step 3: Under the "What would you like to track?" area you will select the Webs Site button.

Then under the "Setting up your add your web properly" add:

  • Website name
  • Add the Pagemodo's URL, http://www.pagemodo.com, in the "Website's URL" field 
  • Industry Category
  • Time zone

Step 4: Select your data sharing options and enter your country of origin.

Step 3:  Once your account is setup you will be directed to the "Tracking code" tab on your Goggle Analytics account.

Copy the code the tracking code provided.

Step 4:  Once you've copied the tracking code, go to Pagemodo and login to your Dashboard. Underneath your fanpage's name, you'll see an "Analytics" link that you can click.

Click the "Analytics" link, paste in the tracking code in the pop-up window, click "Save" and you are done..

NOTE:The Google Analytics tracking code may take 24 to 48 hrs to be detected on your fan page
